the new release of sies, inspired by intimate events, is suitable for small and large rooms. available in green vinyl only, limited pressing. the tracks have hard kicks and new, more underground, sounds, which make the listener travel, the power is master, the sounds are avant-garde, aggressive. the first track presents the sensations that can be experienced during a particular event such as raves, referring to both annoying and respectful people that might be met. the following piece gives the title to this project, the predominant sounds are violent, inspired by the vibrations that can be heard on the dance floor. the third song has a mystical mark, definable psychedelic, and allows who listens to go into the unknown. the last track is more experimental than the previous ones, has ghostly sounds and a powerful and a thrilling bass. suitable for both overture and outro of a party.

it is one year ago that mathias kaden presented a very personal journey to his musical roots in the shape of an album called energetic. equally as long he has been out in the world as a live act - with some large analogous luggage and the same joy of performing with which he had won many hearts as a dj on the dancefloor beforehand. after the first batch of remixes (among others by michael mayer and redshape) there are now following further revisions of three of the albums tracks.

re-release! 2x12 inch + dl , gute luft is the result of months of work scoring the hit german tv film 24h berlin - the longest documentary film in history which featured 80 camera teams following the lives of berliners over a 24 hour period. obviously a huge challenge for fehlmann, beyond the scope of the project and hours of music involved in a 24 hour film, there was dealing with the decision making process that went with working with such a large production team. as he shared scoring duties with another musician (separately), inevitably a lot of his music ended up not making the final cut. gute luft is about re-tweaking and editing material from the countless hours of recording he had created. in a sense, gute luft is fehlmanns ideal soundtrack to the 24h berlin documentary.

in 1986, uruguayan vocalist and musician mariana ingold took the advice of a storied uruguayan composer and musicologist and recorded her first album (todo depende) for the now legendary label ayuí/tacuabé. in the early ’80s, the introduction of the synthesizer fostered an experimental new approach to traditional candombe rhythms. ingold’s influence on the scene looms large. pairing elegant vocals and majestic harmonies with complex arrangements, she pushed the montevideo-specific sound — loosely termed candombe fusion — in new directions and thrived working collaboratively with artists including eduardo mateo, jaime roos, and hugo fattoruso. with the assistance of chris j. morris, left ear records has extracted a collection of tracks that encapsulate this period between 1986-1991, lifting from her albums todo depende, cambio de clima, and haace calor. full liner notes translated in english and spanish with archival photos included.

rebar, the duo behind the made of concrete label kick off their self titled label. rebar is meant as a space for the artists own sound explorations, aimed at putting forth releases which combines their usual style with cross-boundary composition. rebar 1 sees a versatile three piece assortment with a seemingly common theme. field recordings make ample appearances in rebars work and this release makes no exception: a large part of the elements were recorded in and around train stations of a famous metropolis.

autarkic describe himself as first and foremost a songwriter but he has also made a name for himself as an international dj. over the past three years the musician based in tel aviv has, with great success, played clubs throughout all of europe. one extra memorable gig was on last year’s edition of convenanza in the amphitheatre in sete, france. rumour has it that the sea living mammals of the area flocked in large groups in the waters below during autarkic’s gig. this 12” picture vinyl is his first release on hoga nord rekords and the slightly psychedelic, sample- and synthesiser based club music that has become autarkic’s trademark sound is captured by an impeccable production. the music is playful, yet stripped down to the essentials and not overloaded. the vocal elements works more as percussive elements than the carrier of the storytelling in the music. if you missed him live or just don’t have the means to go see him, this record give a taste of autarkic’s hypnotic live performances!

mop mop is the brainchild of andrea benini, musician, producer, dj who has been active for more than ten years exploring a large variety of musical genres, from club to jazz music. „kiss of kali“ is the name of his second album - originally released in 2008 only on cd, now available on vinyl for the first time.

aar is a project by milan-based producer, dj and designer giorgio di salvo. the first grade lp is his first record under this name, self-released in collaboration with haunter records, the first chapter in a new series dedicated to tonal and rhythmic experimentation. advanced audio research is the ironic definition of this new music course of his, a nod to the large amount of esoteric studio gear accumulated and (ab)used during the years. the project itself is the result of years of study and experimentation with generative music matrices, based on the application of a three dimensional array of variables and unknowns to algorithmic pattern creation. the result is punishing, close to the most radical exploits in ear-wrenching breakcore, footwork and jungle, albeit with a sonic and structural finesse that reveals the producer’s manic dedication. track a-4 is produced in collaboration with somec and b-01 in collaboration with heith, channeling abstract and melancholic vibes into the project. vinyl comes in ultra ltd. edition of 100 copies, each one wrapped in a different hand-printed folder.

p.e.a.r.l. is launching the fifteenth installment of his falling ethics series with two versions of a serious club destroyer that has been released on the label back in the early days of falling ethics. sorrows has been reflipped to a 2018 version that is sounding modern, large and in sync with the current aesthetics in techno music. while this version can be located on the b-side, on the a-side we find a larger than life cub version (karl o conner & simon shreeve) that will definitely turn some heads over the next few months. reworking classics is not always needed but in this case, it’s a welcome addition completely in harmony with the times.

ghost in the machine return to perc trax to follow up their break out one louder ep that came out on the label last summer. since then they ve been focusing on their own genosha basic label, touring to great acclaim around europe and remixing perc & truss’ “leather & lace”, turning an already large track into a peak-time festival munching bomb. across the four tracks on their king dead they widen their sound, floating synth arpeggios over their trademark rock solid kicks and adding a deeper level of ambience that lurks with intent underneath their driving percussive sound.

tachyon audio is a vinyl label that’s focused on sounds in the techno realm targeting sweaty, dark dance floors, with large, high-quality sound systems. inhabitants come back strong in mutations volume ii, tachyon audio’s second offering. these two primates are often found inhabiting dark spaces, forging ahead on complex math equations. their distinct, driving, mathematical, and drumming techno is a result. expect more solid work and performances from these two mysterious beings on tachyon audio as the label continues its progression. tachyon audio’s second release follows a similar format to the first, in that, tac002 is a diverse ep that touches on techno sounds that are helping to lead the march forward into the future of sound production and style. the second tachyon audio release also comes from the mysterious dark studio of inhabitants, who build off their first, and display their precise, technical forms of production. the a-side track, mut11 (a1) is a sci-fi exploration that pleases the ear with thick sub and low basses, along with a pitch-twisted melodic element, and the inhabitants distinct sound effects and automation. the track has a strong impact immediately, as you can feel the intensity of elements being added, manipulated, and combined, and a sturdy, grimy feel pervades the piece with an interesting driving rhythmic percussion.

refreshingly new oldskool techno tracks by bornek nowec, a project by a rotterdam based dj/producer known for his long tied connections with the local techno scene. this release is the first outing from his large archive of techno tracks produced over the years. 4 cuts full of character that reminds us of the long nights at the nightown basement in the 90 s where he was dj ing with guys such as dj t!m aka frame six and paul du lac.
